Background

Hello, I'm Hanish Trivedi, an aviation professional originally from the bustling city of Mumbai, India. I am currently living in the scenic city of Vancouver, Canada pursuing my diploma in Aviation Management and Operations. I am passionate about planes, planets, photography, and stocks.

My passion for aviation is not just academic; I have a life-long love for planes. And this love is complemented by my interest in photography, which allows me to capture the world from my unique perspective.

My curiosity extends beyond the Earth's atmosphere. I am fascinated by the celestial bodies that adorn our night sky and have a profound interest in planets. In addition, I also have a keen acumen for stocks and I enjoy keeping a close eye on financial markets.

Education

I firmly believe that learning is a lifelong process. After a successful 15-year career as an aviation professional, I felt the need to hit the books again. I realized that my lack of formal credentials specializing in aviation was a barrier to earning a more lucrative position in the industry.

Driven by this realization, I decided to pursue a two-year diploma in Aviation Management and Operations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2022. I am currently in my final term and look forward to graduating in April 2024. This journey has been a testament to my belief in continuous learning and my commitment to enhancing my skills and knowledge in the field of aviation.

Professional Experience

My passion for planes led me to the aviation industry. I embarked on my aviation journey in October 2006 as a cabin crew member with Air Atlanta Icelandic. Over the next nine years, I was based mainly in Jeddah, KSA, and was promoted to Senior Cabin Crew Member in 2013.

In 2015, longing to return to my home city of Mumbai, I was fortunate to join Swiss International Airlines as a Foreign Cabin Crew Member. A year later, I was promoted to Foreign Cabin Crew Inflight Instructor, where I was responsible for training onboard foreign cabin crew members.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought my career with Swiss to a halt in 2020, and we had to part ways in 2021. Undeterred, I switched gears and joined Aurea Aviation, a private charter and ground handling service provider based in Mumbai, as an Assistant Manager Operations in 2021.

As part of my co-op term at BCIT, I had the opportunity to join Lufthansa in April 2023 as a Multi-task Station Agent for six months contract. Despite the challenges, my passion for aviation remains undiminished, and I continue to soar high in the industry.

Hobbies

My passions mainly lie in the dynamic world of the stock market and the awe-inspiring realm of aviation. The intricate dance of companies, trends, and global events in the financial markets captivates me, as does the marvel of airplanes soaring high above. I find joy in spotting planes and capturing them through my lens whenever I have a chance. These interests, though distinct, are harmoniously intertwined, both thriving on unpredictability and requiring astute decision-making. Just as a pilot navigates through turbulence, a stock trader maneuvers through market fluctuations. In photography, I like to capture everything from planets and planes to festival activities in India and anything that interests my eyes.

In addition, I am also passionate about planets and the night sky. The celestial bodies that adorn our night sky have always fascinated me, sparking a profound interest in planets. This fascination has led me to delve into the field of astrophotography. Although I am still in the learning phase, the joy I find from capturing the beauty of the cosmos is immeasurable.
